The New India Group diversified into the surfactant industry and started manufacturing LABSA 90. The superlative quality of its products ensured that the company started supplying to Multinational Corporations like HUL from the initial year of manufacturing itself.
To diversify further into the surfactant industry, Detergeo Chem Private Limited was founded and a new Sulphation and Sulphonation unit was set up in Gummidipoondi, Chennai.
