Founded in 2018, Detergeo Chem Private Limited is a unit of New India Group. The New India Group itself was founded in 1947 as a trading house for textile dyes and chemicals and subsequently diversified into the manufacturing of LABSA 90 (Linear Alkylbenzene Sulfonic Acid) in 1990.
WHO ARE WE?
As a continuation of our long-standing journey with surfactants, we have set up a new Multi-tube Thin Falling Film Sulphonation and Sulphation plant at Gummidipoondi, Chennai (Tamil Nadu).The plant commenced full operations in March 2021. Since then, our company has burgeoned itself into one of the nation’s leading suppliers of surfactants to multiple iconic brands.
With an installed capacity of 50,000mtpa, our plant is the largest single location surfactant manufacturing unit in all of South India. It is a computerised and fully automated unit which has the capacity of producing LABSA, SLES, SLS, and AOS in both paste and liquid form. Additionally, we hold rank among the few world manufacturers who can supply SLES under 10ppm 1,4 Dioxane. Since our facility is located right by the Chennai Port, it also grants us an added advantage for global exports.
